For Levi here:
Compassion: Levi is six thousand pounds of issues shoved in a 143lb bag. His upbringing was rough (but we don't have many details except for the fact that he was raised by and is very likely related to a serial killer...) but his major problem is probably guilt over the deaths of his friends Isabel and Farlan- he made a bad call and left them alone when he shouldn't have, and they died because of it. He also had a special operations squad under his command and they died too because he can't have nice things. [allmyfriendsaredead.png] (That wasn't so much his fault but he's still sad about it anyway.)
It's also implied that he's been directly involved in torture-as-interrogation beyond the two scenes that happen in canon, but I don't think he ever actually enjoyed it, so there's probably some lingering issues related to that, too.
Aaaand the more recent issue is a giant snk spoiler so I'm not gonna drop it unless it becomes a thing (or you don't mind.)
...His reaction probably won't be all that friendly if any of those things are brought up by a stranger, but beyond that he'll likely deny those feelings at all. As far as the torture business goes, he'll probably repeat that he's fine with doing what needs to be done, but it will probably come off as transparent.
THAT SAID it's likely he won't be actively thinking about these things unless a situation comes up in-game to remind him of them- for the most part they're old hurts that only really ache when it rains. He's your typical Emotionally Constipated stoic asshole-who-isn't, so he keeps this sort of thing to himself about 99% of the time.
Forgetting: He'd be preeeetty pissed off if he ever found out he'd been made to forget something against his will- he's a game import and the last situation he was in had enough mind control and brainwashing for one lifetime. There are also problems with memory erasure in his home world, and especially because of those he'd be insanely mistrustful of someone using that sort of power on him, even if it's supposedly for his own good. He'd probably confront Cole in the event that the memories return, and probably not very nicely. I'm still down for it, though!
